Many activists, during the period of 1963 to 1991 worked out of their own homes, so this material might be found tucked away in a home office, basement, attic, or garage. The Soviet Jewry Movement Education Project (SJMEP) is working to identify such activism collections and guide them to appropriate archival locations.
SJMEP is not an archives. SJMEP is a virtual hub with a website designed to link to relevant material that is located in historical centers and archives across North America and beyond. SJMEP’s goal is to make the history of the movement easily accessible from one online location. As collections are identified and processed, SJMEP’s virtual hub will grow.
